I thought this could be a topic, where we post the scores we are playing at the moment, maybe with some comment to it. I am currently playing nothing since I am watching "ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND", but I thought this would be a nice idea.

Any opinions?

"Open Range" (Michael Kamen)

Sadly Michael Kamen´s second-final(?) score. A beautiful poem of the american west, a true and great western score to a beautiful picture directed by Kevin Costner. Michael, we miss you.

What's Article 99 like Doug?
I think it's one of only a handful of Elfman scores I've never heard.


For some reason today I've had the urge to to hear Debney's Cutthroat Island for the first time in ages (just the 70 min original release). It's very enjoyable, though a little overbearing after a while. As good as it is I doubt I'll ever buy the expanded 2-disc release.

The main theme for me is definately one of those annoyingly catchy melodies which just lodges in your head forever! It's great and so are the many creative variations of it in both the action and more reflective music.

Took a gamble and bought the DVD / CD set.
$35.... but the last track on the CD is worth double that.
That last piece on that CD is really something special!
