When I saw the announcement that Intrada was releasing the scores to this series, I was immediately floored. I ordered mine almost immediately and I can't wait for the day it gets to my door. I just want to thank everyone at Intrada for their hard work in putting these scores out, and I am thrilled because finally we will get to hear not only the definitive original versions of Williams' The Mission and Ghost Train, but lots of other great scores by the many famous composers who worked on the series. I admit I have never seen but parts of the series but I definitely know at least Williams' music. The first time I heard the "Landing" cue from The Mission was at the end of several of the Amazing Stories movies (which were three or four episodes crammed together into a movie format) and it was just incredible. I used to have the Landing cue combined with the Main Title on audio tape, along with the original closing theme, but now at long last, Intrada has brought us the original scores to this series. If the series wasn't all that amazing, the music certainly was.
