I posted this earlier on the FSM forum, but wanted to make sure people saw it here. From yesterday’s Cinescape:
"One of the posters at FILMUS-L, the film music listserver, recently attended the THE OMEN (2006) recording sessions at London’s Abbey Road Studios for Marco Beltrami's score for the new version of THE OMEN. This is what he said about the score: Beltrami “he is using a choir (and some of the texts written for the old score), but … he is not using any of Jerry's score, although he uses a similar three-note motif that he then develops differently – in fact the music is quite different, but in the end credits he includes an excellent arrangement of Goldsmith's music, which I think is a good way to acknowledge Jerry's work on the first movie and give homage to one of the best scores ever written.â€
