I know that few people here on this board are interested in current film music (according to my yearly unsuccessful topics about your favorite current scores), but Mikael Carlsson has just posted an article in his blog about the future of film music, at least of the year to come which will undoubtedly end up by a "2009 bilan" thread next december.

What is your own ? Do you see titles unlisted on this blog ?

I am not that interested in Brian Eno, David Shire and especially Danny Elfman. The rest of Mikael´s list is pretty good, altough KNOWING would be included in top places on my own list. Also HE´S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU is one of the scores I am looking forward to the most although it´s possible it will remain unreleased.
There is a few excellent scores coming from Guy Farley as well. In case any of those will get released - Book of Blood should, some others are still possible.

I just can´t make the order of those scores but here they are in random order: Knowing, Avatar, Star Trek, The Soloist, Book of Blood, He´s Just not that into you, GI Joe, A CHristmas Carol, REpossession Mambo, Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, Daybreakers, Time Traveler´s Wife, Dragonball etc, etc, etc.

Sadly I can't find any ten scores that I aniticipate so much more than the others -- that's just the kind of year 2009 is shiping to be.
