I'd put WatL above Alien by quite a large margin. Not to mention Silverado, Tombstone, Amazing Stories ETC.

If you have ever heard the alternate material that Goldsmith composed, you would be amazed. The original versions of "The Enterprise," "Leaving Drydock," and "Spock's Arrival" are utterly brilliant!! Parts of "The Enterprise" contain, note for note, the same material as the completed film version, but the melody itself is quite different.

The expanded edition of ST:TMP is excellent, but a 2-disc version would be KILLER! Not only would the alternate takes be heaven to hear in good sound quality, but there would be this stuff too:

the original 1979-film version of the "Main Title,"
the early V'ger attack music,
the transporter accident,
the music heard during the warp speed sequence,
the cue called "Meet V'ger"
the second half of "Games" (which blends into "Spock's Walk")
the Ilia heals music,
the dialogue sequences near the end involving V'ger attacking earth,
the last part of "Inner Workings" that has a wind machine and piano....

Did I leave anything out? Who knows what the complete master tapes hold for Star Trek TMP. I am sure someday this one will be done for GOOD!!
