For those of you lamenting the passing of the "Best Score" promo CDs that the academy has ruled out of supporting, that initially helped composers to get their music noticed outside of their prospective films, looks like Alberto Iglesias's exciting score to THE KITE RUNNER has snuck in as a much expanded promo in this month's issue of THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER'S "Oscar Watch: Song and Score" edition. At 31 tracks, verses the 21 track commercial version (minus the songs), and over an hour and 14 minutes of music, it only costs the price of the magazine, which is a $6 steal.
Given the circumstances, this may turn out to be the only legally produced and widely available Oscar promo made for this years upcoming award celebrations, so check it out before they're gone!
