How orchestral was Metalstorm?

I wish Intrada re-issues Bill Conti's MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE sometime soon! This is one I missed out on back in the day. I've brought this up in other posts, anyway.

It seems that MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE is not an impossibility. They have been doing 80s scores galore (yahoo!!), and didn't their late summer release of HERCULES come from the same film studio as the HE-MAN movie?

Here's hoping that ITR does this one.....!

(I missed out on YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES, too. There's another one that hopefully will rise to the top again :wink:

I don't know Metal Storm at all, but I would trust blindly Roger's tastes and order this one for sure...
I discovered Richard Band with the movie Troll and then the video game Casper soundtrack in the mid 90's... When Intrada released Troll, I began collecting Band's stuff and continued later with Zone Troopers/The Alchimist, which ended to be a fabulous pair of scores...

Please please please let it be THE ICE PIRATES . When you guys recently released the expanded MONSTER SQUAD and HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS, it gave me hope that some more of Bruce's long lost scores were found. I don't know if ICE PIRATES can be considered an "epic", but its definitely mid 80's-style scifi. The score does seem to utilize a large orchestra, and the main title is heavy on brass. I recall a few electronic/synth cues as well. Anyway, I hope I'm right - its one of my holy grails.

Now when we know that Mondays release will be a Special Collection title my guess goes for Broughton's Ice Pirates, it's a sci-fi from the mid 80's with an orchestral score released by MGM.
If it had been Band's Metalstorm it probably would have been released as a Signature Edition as the other Band titles.

Back to the Future is a mid 80s sci fi "epic" and features a large, exciting, orchestral score. Probably Alan Silvestri's biggest work ever.
