Under those rules Bob you are right with Skinner.
Tom :)

Sadly, Skinner has fallen into obscurity today because he spent his career within a studio (Universal) that is unwilling to release his scores from its vaults.

A lot of great names here. Actually I was thinking more along the lines of composers who may have been active but didn't leave much in the way of recordings for us to know them by. Frank Skinner may not have much on CD but he's represented just the same. And his LP output was certainly prolific: SHENANDOAH, MAN OF A THOUSAND FACES, MADAME X, MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION, TAMMY AND THE BACHELOR, INTERLUDE, IMITATION OF LIFE and WRITTEN ON THE WIND all have actual Frank Skinner soundtrack albums, frequently on Decca. He's way too well-known and represented to fit the criteria I intended.

However, another name to add to this list would be Paul Glass. He's got his one LP (BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING) but he toiled for years with such projects as LADY IN A CAGE and terrific work on Rod Serling's NIGHT GALLERY.

Well Bob I guess the boss just said you were wrong after all! But I think the name Roy Webb could be added to our informal list.
His work for Bunny and Night Gallery is great. He even scored the final Hammer horror feature To the Devil a Daughter starring Richard Widmark, Christopher Lee and Nastassja Kinski.
I'm unfamiliar with this one but there was a DVD sitting on a shelf in a store up the street so I went ahead and picked it up. It'll be nice to hear another Paul Glass score. Thanks for the tip!

To chime in on Melchior's list:

Definitely, Billy Goldenberg and Gil Melle. I just finished watching a copy (ahem) of the 1973 TV movie "Don't be Afraid of the Dark," another one of those scary-as-hell, ABC Movies of the Week that traumatized a generation of kids, and Goldenberg did the creepy score for it.

I'd like to have a bunch of Gil Melle's stuff, too, including "The Questor Tapes" (which featured a theme that was reprised for part of "Kolchak's" main title), "Frankenstein: The True Story," and "World War III."

Also, glad to see Harry Sukman on Doug's list. He did the music for "Genesis II" and its remake, "Planet Earth," as well as "Around the World under the Sea."
