Curious about the usual mention of such elements in making an album.

3-track elements are pretty much a given - a left channel, center channel, and right channel of a score already mixed (unless I'm mistaken).

What about 24-track elements?

Are those individual instruments, like a 'viola track' and a 'trumpet 1 and 3' track and so on, and those have to be mixed, I'm assuming, down using whatever documentation is there provided by the original score mixer?

Curious about how that all works. I'm honestly surprised there's not more talk about this since these questions have come up in many threads when specific scores are released.
