I don't know if this belongs here but here goes:

I picked up this "Masada" release at a second-hand shop and as it's my favourite score and isn't a release I'd seen before I had to buy it (you understand). But I don't know who released it or when. It's also 2 CDs like the Intrada set (which I own and is great) but instead of having 34 and 30 tracks on each CD respectively it has 17 and 20. Also, some of the tracks are differently titled such as instead of the Intrada title "End Part IV" it's called "They Are Remembered". It's also a very different mix (sounding considerably flatter) so it's not a bootleg of the Intrada release. Any idea?

Thanks

There hasn't been any other CD issues besides the Varese reissue of the MCA lp re-recording and Intrada's 2-CD release of the film tracks. What you found is clearly a bootleg. Back in the '80s cassettes sometimes floated around of unreleased material, so it's possible that is what it is sourced from. Without hearing it it would be hard to diagnose how it is different from the Intrada release. But it's certainly a bootleg.
