I honestly do think it's a great score, but it's never had any CD release at all. It's a shame really, as I would totally buy it if it came out. Any thoughts/opinions? |

so why "totally buy" when it's no great score? |

I remember that when the local CD store had the songoriented soundtrack to Marked For Death I had this CD in my hand but decided it was way to expensive to buy it because of one tiny little 2 minute cue so if anyone release it I would buy it because I actually regrets not buying it. By the way on the Steven Seagal compilation album (with only music by the underrated David Michael Frank) there is an interview with Seagal about him, his films AND the score to those films he had made by the time when this interview was made. He (Seagal) praised Frank but strangely enough Frank did not score any other Seagal films after those three(???). Anyway Seagal does mention Marked for Death and he says that he had nothing to do with progress of chosing the composer to this particular film and he also said that he was not pleased at all with the result of that films score. So maybe that`s why there was only one cue on the soundtrack, who knows. On the other hand if you look at who the director of this film was we can see that it was Dwight H. Little who likes to work with Christopher Young to such films as Rapid Fire and Murder At 1600. What if Young had scored Marked for Death instead!? Tobias (who also wants this score to be realized) |

I'll buy anything by James Newton Howard. I like his early electronic efforts like Off Limits and Russkies. Bring it on, I say. |
