Just had a chance to go back and watch the movie, muting the scenes North's score cues were written for and playing the North pieces on a cd player next to the tv. First of all, I had forgotton what an incredible movie "2001" is. Wow. Second, some of those North pieces would have worked remarkably well in the film... absolutely fascinating to watch his take on certain scenes, it gives several of them an entirely different feel. I thought his work during the earliest section of the movie (the monkey section) was a particularly superb match, adding a lot of genuine tension and terror to the proceedings. Just wanted to say thanks again for this wonderful release, guys... you're the best!

Is release a legit (albeit CDr) re-release of the 2006 Intrada album and thus worthy of a purchase?

Quick query: From what I could gather, this CD uses the same source as the 2006 Intrada release? Are there any changes to the artwork/booklet, apart from the cover art? (I'm just curious...I've found new appreciation for AN's score, but only did so after the Intrada CD had sold out).

Wish Intrada could re-issue this disc. It was one I regret selling years ago. I refuse to buy that CD R disc from amazon. For a while I kept thinking which bootleg company is doing this!?! From previous posts here sounds like Alex North's estate was able to release it for CD R thru amazon. I just wish they would let a label issue it for them.

Any plans for a re-issue?
