Hi all

Was just wondering with Christmas almost upon us, what score, if any, you would play on Christmas Day? Does it have to come from a Christmas movie or just have a christmas-y feel to it. Or maybe you prefer traditional songs, carols, etc.

I can only think of playing the usual suspects:

Home Alone
Home Alone 2 : Lost In New York

So, what are your choices or recommendations?

Snow :)

I'll be playing Mark McKenzie's Blizzard if it arrives... Williams' Home Alone 2 is also on my list. And this year Thomas Newman's Santa '85 will get a spin as well. I also like Mark Snow's Ernest Saves Christmas and Michael Convertino's The Santa Clause.

Home Alone 2 got a brilliant edition from Varese about 5 years ago.

Why, "Eloise at Christmastime", of course! :-) Not to mention "In From Night/Silver Bells".

Back at ya later

I always watch THE BISHOP'S WIFE on Christmas day. It's on Turner Classic Movies this year. I'll probably play the score, too.

Bets time of year to listen to Christmas music is in April.

I'll probably find time to play that old Sundance Institute Christmas cd with " IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE and MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET this weekend.

Bruce Broughton's Miracle on 34th Street and Eloise at Christmastime (with Eloise at the Plaza as an intermission between Christmas scores)

Alan Menken's A Christmas Carol (lyrics by Lynn Ahrens)

John Williams' Home Alone 2 (DE)

Alan Williams' Santa and Pete

Mark MacKenzie's In From the Night / Silver Bells, and soon, Blizzard

Stephen Warbeck's A Christmas Carol (the one with Patrick Stewart)

Mark Snow's Ernest Saves Christmas

I also have six discs of Christmas songs performed by Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Dean Martin, Gene Autry, ...

And let's not forget Danny Elfman's The Nightmare Before Christmas
