The upcoming Jack Marshall at Universal set from LLL looks incredible and is cause for a ceremonial breakdance. After a bunch of one-offs over the last couple of decades, is this finally the start to many more classic Universal TV score releases? |

Abandon hope all ye who want TV-scores. I don't think, that a lot of scores will be released in future, even if the tapes are in good condition. Who wants to pay the mastering and the American musician union? Universal certainly not, at least not any time soon. Even Disney did not want to release a regular Indy V soundtrack, because they would throw away money for a movie, which is already a total box office flop. Bad times for discs in general, because Disney and Sony stopped distributing Blurays, at least in Europe and big parts of Asia. They give the distribution rights to other companies, but in Australia for example not even that. I hope I'm wrong, but I think I'm right at least while LLL or another label comes round the corner with a "The Rockford Files" or "Magnum, p.i."- CD-set. |

The production moved for the seasons 3 - 6 from L.A. to Vancouver. If that applies for the music too, then nice prospects! The CD-set wouldn't contain a lot of good scores. It always depends on the stupid money! |
