Just an early update on two releases coming Jan. 11. One is a reissue, but from newly transferred elements at a higher bit rate to reveal more details in the recording. The second is a significantly expanded reissue.

How does ANOTHER 48 HOURS compare to the first score? Never saw the second movie, so I'm unfamiliar with the score. I'll get it either way, just curious.

You know, I still have a difficult time with the fact that the same man who wrote the 48 Hrs. and Commando scores also wrote many of the most gorgeous, sweeping film scores out there. Especially Commando, which is so aggressive and muscular that the uninitiated might think an unhinged sociopath wrote it, and I mean that in the best possible way.
