Within the past few days it was announced that Randy Edelman’s long lost ghostbusters 2 score is set to be released this coming June! We were even lucky enough to see cover art and a track listing. The only thing that’s concerning is how short the soundtrack is (16 tracks), which unfortunately leads me to believe that a good chunk of music was omitted for one reason or another. But still awesome nonetheless! Any love for this score here?

Though, will the Japan pressing might feature bonus tracks??

This is one of my highest Holy Grails right since 1989. Awesome news of course, but it was already revelead by Randy Edelman last year, so not so much a surprise anymore. I'm waiting for this !
16 tracks doesn't mean anything. Willow and The Land Before Time had half of that number for discs full of music. Lenght of tracks will be more important.

You may very well be right! A saw one website claim that the runtime of the album was 45 minutes, which appears to be most of the film’s score! Regardless, the release date is right around the corner so only time will tell I suppose

I believe I haven't seen this film in about two decades, and don't recall a bit of score. All I remember is that ridiculous Run-DMC song and Rick Moranis in court saying "judicial restrangement order" or something to that effect instead of restraining order.

Will sample the Edelman score.

Fun little album, except for the smoothed-over processed sound that I hate. I saw elsewhere that this album consists mostly of arrangements and is wildly out of film order. For what little I know about the film, that could be for the better.
