Happy holidays!
In the latest episode of Movie Oubliette, a little podcast I co-host, we interviewed Michael Conway Baker, the composer of the score for Disney's One Magic Christmas. He's 83 this year, bless him, but full of energy and enthusiasm for the film. He had plenty of fun stories to tell, and he's quite frank about the darkness of the material and the struggles he had with the director, Phillip Borsos.
The podcast also includes interviews with actors Elisabeth Harnois and Rob Magwood, who played the Grainger kids. They were a delight to talk to. Elisabeth had amazing memories of working on the film considering she was only 5 at the time! And it was fun to track down Rob, who didn't pursue acting after this movie.
It's out now on your usual podcast places, or on our site if that's easier: .
Apologies for the self-promotion! Just wanted to spread some holiday cheer!
