Does anyone know the price for The Land Before Time? Has it been determined yet? |

JH4EVER, as it probably is one CD, I would say $21,99. |

I bought the first pressing of THE LAST CASTLE back in 2001 which supposedly had an audio problem (background clicks?), so I am interested in this new release and the "Tech Talk" part of the liner Notes on restoration. Also, on a separate point, I wonder if Jerry had decided to record everything in DSD after that Telarc sampler CD which later became commercially available. The Last Castle, Hollow Man, The Sum of All Fears, Star Trek Nemesis, Timeline, and Looney Tunes Back in Action certainly have that uniquely clean sound aesthetic and dynamic range that would suggest so, but I don't know for sure. But you can tell that those recordings started to sound uniquely well detailed (and arguably better) than what immediately came before (Along Came A Spider, The Mummy, The 13th Warrior). It's not a put-down in any sense, but from a historical perspective, a new era of computer-based digital recording had begun. |
