I assumed they wanted to keep it to official posts, though now that I look the whole forum is locked, not just starting topics, so there can't be 'discussion'. Ooof....I hope that's not a bad sign of anything.

I guess it kinda makes sense since Roger has been posting pre-release stuff here rather than in the forum of discussion for the last few months, especially since they haven’t done the clue game in over a year.

I got one miss the clues game which was all good fun, and I’m grateful that for posterity, you didn’t delete all those posts Roger!

Speaking of Intrada traditions I miss... Will we ever see another mini-podcast? Really loved those you were doing with Doug.

I must confess I do not miss the clues game. I found out that, more often than not, it resulted in disappointment to me.

That’s because, like everyone else, I have my personal grails and whenever a clue fitted one of my grails I kind of anticipated that it was the title that would be released only to discover that it was something else (and no matter how great that something else turned out to be it was not “that” title I anticipated)...

I was expecting Psycho II and Jaws The Revenge for decades and whenever there were clues like “thriller” “sequel” “80’s” “one of our favorite composers” I assumed “Psycho II finally”... And was disappointed to find out it was not it.... until it was released out of the blue.

I think the nail on the coffin for the clues game was LLL Planet Of The Apes box set. A fantastic release that must be celebrated, but the wild guesses from everyone kind of turned it in a disappointment to a lot of people - and some angry posts ‘accusing’ LLL of exaggerating on the clues. For certain if that release was simply announced without prior clues it would have been better received.
