Just curious if the Harvey Weinstein thing essentially puts the kibosh on any possibility of scores from films produced by The Weinstein Co. being released?

No idea why it should, but considering that Miramax is owned by Disney, it kind limits the possibilities.

Disney sold Miramax, including the film library, in 2010. Ownership has bounced around a bit, but I believe Viacom/Paramount now has controlling interest in it.

The Weinstein Company is a totally separate company from Miramax, though. After the scandal, they ended up going bankrupt and their assets were bought by a capital investment company under an auction. That company is a key stakeholder in Spyglass Entertainment and I believe they ended up with the Weinstein Company library.

Interesting... although i am FAR more interested in Dimension Films catalogue. Any idea where that ended?

When they split from Disney, the Weinstein's took the Dimension Films brand with them. The film catalog before that (basically through 2005) stayed with Miramax and would fall under Paramount/Viacom now. Their films from 2006 on are part of the Weinstein Company library that Spyglass apparently controls.

While the film library stayed with Miramax, the Weinsteins did end up with most of the sequel rights. That creates situations like Scream 1-3 being part of the Paramount/Viacom controlled library while Scream 4 is part of the Weinstein/Spyglass library.
