I remember liking this film a lot when I saw it many years ago, and thinking the score worked in context. Haven't thought about it since then but as always this mini-podcast has me very intrigued! Cool release that came out of the blue!

Neat. As for why it was never released prior, I think the question might have been answered with mention of the very short cues. Glad that someone took on the challenge.

I’ll be a little more articulate about how pleased I am for this release.
Growing up in the early days of HBO, TIME BANDITS got plenty of repeat airplay.
Terry Gilliam’s uniquely surreal children’s fantasy was one of a kind and very, very rewatchable.

Given the time, 1981, it makes sense that an album never happened. Even stranger that George Harrison’s end title song never was released in any format, but now that has been rectified!

At first thought, I am surprised that Intrada was the label to issue an album of TIME BANDITS with a song from an artist of George Harrison’s caliber. But then again, Intrada has proven time and time again that it is of equal caliber... if not higher

Echoing the sentiments already expressed, this is dream come true soundtrack release. I was 12 when this movie came out and it has been a favorite ever since. Growing up in the 80s cable age, I pretty much memorized this movie through multiple viewings. My musical preferences were always soundtrack scores, and I used to always look for a TIME BANDITS soundtrack album every time I was in a record store. With no internet or other means of research back then, I had no way of knowing that there never was an official soundtrack release. It wasn't until around 1991 that I found out the George Harrison song had actually been released on his 1982 album- I quickly located a copy at a local used record store and was delighted to be able to at least hear a quality recording of that piece of the movie. And the lyrics were printed on the sleeve! (I still want to know what 'Oh ry in eye ay, Oh ry in ah key ooh lay' means!)

This album will be like getting to scratch a 40-year-old itch. Its going to feel really good!
