Intrada Soundtrack Forum

I noticed in the past month that for the majority of older OOP Intrada releases, the pages have seemingly been deleted. Even a month or two ago they were there. What happened? This is very unfortunate and I hope they can be restored. When I want to direct someone to an old Intrada release, I was so glad to be able to link them to a place with description, cover art (which I've also been using for iTunes when I import things), and tracklist. Sometimes even music samples.

I noticed the same thing about an hour ago. I just navigated over to discogs which has most of the information.

It doesn't have Doug's score descriptions which are very cool to read, or sound clips, or (by and large) the same quality of album art. It's such a shame that a record of Intrada's output/accomplishments no longer exists on their site to link to. It was cool to be able to go through all of their Special Collection series by Volume #, for example.

Yes - I went to check on some older titles for reference and saw that they were missing, as well. It's a real shame. Hopefully they return.

It is understandable that the clips especially take up space... maybe that was an issue... but at least the basic info would be certainly good to have... unless some people just keep asking if the looooooooong oop titles will ever be in stock again and when... I am sure that could become annoying... on the other hand it is good to be able to see what is still available rather than going through pages and pages with only sold out titles and rarely one or two, which are still available and can be easily overlooked.

They were removed because there were several hundred of these and it was confusing customers trying to order CDs as they were repeatedly stumbling upon stuff that wasn't orderable. Since the primary purpose of the site is to facilitate sales, not act as an archive for everything and the latter was interfering with the former, we elected to remove those.

Well, I for one really loved being able to look back on the history of everything Intrada had released, and to be able to share that information with others.

Sad about this decision even though I understand it.
