While it has to be applauded that new label Stylotone has released (allegedly) top quality editions of the original, virtually complete tracks for Herrmann's MARNIE and TWISTED NERVE, and Cordell's KHARTOUM, they seem to want to indulge a fringe element of the market with their "Super Deluxe Editions". If one thought the Varese Deluxe Edition of SPARTACUS was 'overkill', you should see what Stylotone are offering. 180 Gram LPs, CD and Poster all thrown in together in the most extravagant package. I have no problem with the few who will relish these packages, but what about the rest of us who just want the CD? Please someone license these so that more people (and the majority of people who still listen to music recordings in a physical form, still do it with CD)!
