At first I was not sure about these scores when I read the imdb description of the film but after listening to the excellent sound clips there were no more doubts...

MY BURNING QUESTION:

Here we have 2 Broughton scores which WON EMMY AWARDS.

Two EMMY AWARD-WINNING Broughton scores on one release.

And NARY A WORD in any of the release material announcing the scores.

How come?

Exactly; that's the thing I had mostly in mind, plus the general style; the opening notes of that track sound like that of Rhapsody in Blue.

Another unusal thing: I am playing all the samples again.
I love this music! Very nice and most elegant. Very light, perfectly orchestrated.
To quote Broughton in his own notes on Mark Twain's Roughing It, it's wonderful "feel nice music"-- not in the derogatory "easy-listening" way, but in how gentle it is.

Hey, maybe Handmaid Films will release the score to Time Bandits now that they're getting in on the act.

Who Knows.

Anyway, this is going to be great.
