Except that, as with Marnie years ago, they released a Psycho EP from the original film recording. So they clearly have a source they considered good enough for that. Yavar |

Well re:Psycho, I'm really looking forward to the expansion of the new recording made for the remake, which Roger said he's pursuing for Intrada...he only had a single nitpick with that recording (the bowing for "The Murder") and by and large I trust Roger's taste though I haven't closely examined the performance myself to compare with the original. It would be more accurate to say that the studios are doing a better job of archiving their assets and that new discoveries are being made all the time. Many “lost” scores are coming out on cd these days. I’m thinking of CONAN THE BARBARIAN, ALIEN, SUPERMAN, ALIEN 3... all were reported lost forever. |
