Terrible news. I'd worked with Nick a long time and his tireless dedication will be missed. Lovely piece by Jon in Variety. Nick broke down a lot of doors so we could rescue and enjoy a lot of great music. We lost a film music hero this week. |

A huge loss to the community. Never met him, though his abundant enthusiasm for classic film/TV music was made clear in interviews and liner notes. |

Shocking news. So utterly sad to hear of his passing. He battled hard and against this awful disease. He regularly posted on FB and I so hoped he was winning. We owe him so much through his passion to produce soundtracks and especially all of the JG soundtracks he was involved with. Sincere condolences to his family and close friends. |

Thank you for a lovely remembrance in your 1/20/19 corner, Doug. It was an absolute & tragic shock to read of Redman's passing. He was surely one of the best advocates of this art - and his writing, unparalleled. I've kept numerous, since upgraded, albums just for his liner notes. The Varese DIE HARD springs to mind. RIP Mr. Redman & thank you for all you did for this neglected art. |
