I haven't listened yet, but have two points to make. Candid film composer interviews essentially died along with Herrmann, Fielding and Horner. Now it's almost all a big circle jerk to appease the suits (or skinny jeans). As for a lack of women writing for film, that is always something that fans have decried. Film score composition is now mostly pressing buttons or copying others by request, so we may soon also be asking for more male composers as A.I. will likely take over. |
