I think The Haunting, The Man Who Knew Too Much, and Black Patch would all be less expensive scores to record, for reasons of length and/or orchestra size, if nothing else. They are all also things that would be best paired with something else on album, but I think that's what stretch goals are for. Set the goal at $30,000 to record any of those, announce (early) a stretch goal to fill out the CD if that amount is doubled. Something that's a logical pairing: another Seale or classic horror score, another short Hitchcock score (Notorious?), and in the case of Goldsmith, Face of a Fugitive is the obvious pairing of course. Then it's up to backers whether they get it to the higher level and receive a 70-minute CD end product instead of a 25-32 minute one! Good incentive!
And if you *really* want to get people goin' on the Goldsmith option, I'll bet that telling people of a second stretch goal -- say for an additional $2,000 at the end maybe? -- you'll newly record the Rambo: First Blood Part II end titles piece.
Or alternatively/in addition maybe something the *premiere* recording of that unique awesome fanfare Doug recalls hearing in the rehearsal run through at the Star Trek V sessions...if it was written down it can be recorded.
