Hopefully this doesn't come off as being a smartass or trolling, but:

Howard Shore - LOTR

It just comes off as inaccurate. Silence of the Lambs, anyone?

Howard Shore? I have been an admirer of Howard Shore for over twenty years. His David Cronenberg collaborations alone secure him a spot as one of the more creative and interesting voices in contemporary cinema, not to mention such classic scores as the dire soundscapes he created for Se7ven or the thrilling score he composed for The Cell. Howard Shore qualifies as a "one hit wonder" about as much as John Williams.

How about Konrad Elfers, who wrote the catchy score for "Funeral in Berlin"? He evidently scored some other German films, but "Funeral" is the only English language film he did. Does he count?

Think I've mentioned this before someplace, but who the hell is Malcomb Dodds, who came up with a wonderfully catchy theme for the now forgotten 1970 Sidney Furie film THE LAWYER (which later sired the short-lived tv show PETROCELLI)?

Admittedly this was pretty much a "one theme score" that existed as endless repeats of this catchy little theme for orchestra and female voices, but I occasionally find myself pondering, "who is this guy, how did he get the assignment, and whatever happened to him?"
