God, Lost Luggage is freakin' awesome.

The samples chosen are fairly telling. Did the original album really have almost all of the most interesting highlights?

Not really, IMO. In fact it didn't even have "Lost Luggage"! (On the original album the cue was mis-labeled -- it was actually "The Accident".)

I for one gravitate more to many of the previously unreleased cues than some of the ones that made it onto the original album. I feel like the more subtle and delicate cues tended to get omitted in favor of "big theme" moments. But that actually most of the better character work was omitted from the album (establishing and developing themes for both Lurene and Paul). Recorded a Soundtrack Spotlight last night and hopefully we can have an edited version out before the end of the week...

Ah, but the cues that were omitted from album are the ones closer to his 60s-era subtlety, for what that's worth. And they're thematic -- they just aren't the big sappy main theme for the most part. They develop themes for the two main characters.

I think Mr. Goldsmith is underrated. I love his themes and usually play them on my keys (https://musescore.com/sheetmusic?text=J ... ldsmith%20).
