I've heard an early version of the DIE ANOTHER DAY score, one which has a few more drum 'n' bass overlaid alternate cues.

Most notably on: Gustav Graves' parachute jump, Jinx's drowning/freezing, some of the Ice Palace car chase.

These excellent pieces are ruined IMO by the overlays, when compared to the more orchestral versions heard in the film.

Going by LLL's audio samples, it sounds like the car chase sequence is the drum 'n' bass version.

I will be quite miffed if that is the case, as they are some of my favourite pieces in the score.

I thought it sounded odd and quite incongruous. Since Arnold produced the album and provided the elements, I suppose it's what he prefers. Still, that doesn't mean everyone has to like it.

The stereo tapes were provided by David Arnold and had the electronics mixed in. We discussed this and this is how he wanted it. I'm guessing the orchestra only versions were dub stage decisions.

There were two cues that had alternate mixes without the electronics and those are included with the additional material.

That makes sense. One thing the samples indicate is that this album is not mastered as hot as the original, so that's a plus.

I'll buy this soon, if only to help the cause in getting EON to allow more expansions until we finally get Licence to Kill.

Please do!

I got a shipping notice within seven hours of ordering the thing (and the order page was up before 8pm, too).

Thank you. I will... I will!

Would everyone agree that this is the most techno sounding of Arnold's scores or does TWINE get that accolade?

The orchestral elements outweigh the techno elements in TND in my opinion.

that award might perhaps go to 2FAST 2 FURIOUS if it ever gets released...
But if you were speaking of the bond scores, sure DAD is the nr. 1 in the "electro" department.

Btw, speaking of Arnold... what are the chances for THE VISITOR?
