This IS a really cool album and it came out just at the right time... for HALLOWEEN It also represents the progression of the silver age into the electronic age. Mancini's score is so majestic and powerful while (SPOILER ALERT!) Kamen's material is, not necessarily terrible but, atmospherically effective and totally opposite from Mancini's magnum opus. It's also a preview of ideas he'd incorporate and refine into his Die Hard, Suspect and other scores. |
