What about a CD release of the 1977 Oscar nominated JULIA? The CD could feature the complete original score composed and conducted by Georges Delerue plus the period music arranged by John Cameron. As far as I know, there has no been a legal CD release of this wonderful music yet. The cover presented here features the always amazing art by Richard Amsel.

More from Lalo Schifrin. Now for a wonderful 1968 movie directed by John Boorman. A really great score from the Maestro!

A Ford/Wayne classic from 1957 with music by Jeff Alexander, THE WINGS OF EAGLES would be a great addition to the soundtrack collection of every John Ford, John Wayne or Jeff Alexander fan. Here you have a couple of covers for that hypothetical CD, the first one taken from the original 1957 poster of the film, the second from the DVD release. Both of them, conveniently modified. What's your favorite?

Joel Goldsmith composed the scores for three films co-produced between USA and Spain during the second half of the eighties. Being very low budget (and even lower quality) films, the participation of Joel Goldsmith is the only memorable part of them. Among the three, CRYSTAL HEART (1986) was the only to have a soundtrack album released (in Spain, Italy and Mexico), featuring only two tracks by Joel. COUNTERFORCE (1988) and THE RIFT (1990) remain unreleased. Enjoy these three covers, and if you can find the movies, enjoy the music of Joel Goldsmith too.

A couple of obscure Lalo Schifrin's efforts: THE NEW KIDS, directed by Sean S. Cunningham in 1984 (with an unused score by Harry Manfredini), and David Schmoeller's THE SEDUCTION (1981), where Dionne Warwick sang the lovely main theme, written by Schifrin and lyricist Cliff Grisham and, as far as I know, never released, not even as a single.

Two versions for this very early James Horner effort, THE LADY IN RED, directed in 1979 by Lewis Teague for Roger Corman's New World Pictures. First one with white background, and the second with newspaper background. Which one do you prefer? Art is by great American illustrator William Stout.

Neat! I think I like the second one better. How is Horner's score?
