The problem is that people's expectations get way too high... they seem to get a certain title stuck in their head, and if it's not that title that gets released, not only do they refuse to buy it, they make a point of refusing to buy it by telling the world about it. There was some guy on FSM who didn't buy the new Delerue/Bennett because it isn't David Newman's score for "Throw Mamma From the Train". I mean, seriously, how few brain cells do these people have? Is he seriously going to boycott all releases until someone releases that particular score?
Do people who say "Is that it?" release that they're not only making themselves look stupid, they're actually being extremely insulting both to the record labels and people like Douglass Fake and Nick Redman who work tirelessly to release this stuff, and also to those of us who would much prefer to get an unreleased score from Georges Delerue or Richard Rodney Bennett than something like "Back to the Future"?
Film music fans have become truly spoiled, and the flak that labels are getting for releasing the music is astonishing.
