If anyone is interested, Japanese record label Cinema-kan will be releasing the scores to the Daimajin Trilogy (1966), all composed by Akira Ifukube. Cinema-kan is a fairly new label that releases scores that most Japanese record labels have neglected. Some scores, like the release I'm discussing in this thread, are much needed reissues while others have gotten debut complete releases. For some reissues, alternate tracks have been included for the first time. Based on the one release I was able to get before financial troubles decided to creep around the corner and attack me, Cinema-kan's releases are of high quality (like Intrada) and just like labels (again, like Intrada), they genuinely care about their consumers. Like with most Japanese CD releases, Cinema-kan's releases are more expensive than U.S. releases, but are well worth it to those who appreciate Japanese film music (like I do). Anyway, enough with this blab-blab-blab stuff! The following information is what I've posted about their upcoming release elsewhere.

At long last, Akira Ifukube's scores to the Daimajin Trilogy will be available on CD for the first time since 1992!

From the recently rediscovered master tapes and featuring newly remastered dynamic sound*, this three disc set will be on sale on April 19th. Pre-orders are available at ARK Soundtrack SQUARE and will retail for approximately $67.50.

Release Information:

Label: Cinema-kan
Album Title: Daimajin Original Soundtrack (CINK-25)*
Number of Discs: 3
Release Date: April 19, 2017
Retail Price: Approx. $67.50

* I've also seen the CD number listed as CINK-27 at various sites listing the release, so I'm unsure what the exact CD number is.

More info, such as a track list and whatnot will be added when updates are available.
