Several weeks ago a customer at the place where I'm currently employed mentioned to me that she writes screenplays. I ask if she's written anything that's been filmed. She mentioned Stepmom, the Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon film from 1998 scored by John Williams.
I mentioned that I collect film music and have a few thousand scores on vinyl and CD. Yesterday she stopped by and gave me a sealed copy of Stepmom. I asked her to sign it for me. The inscription reads, "To Victor, you are special and an artist -Karen Leigh Hopkins
She's a cool person. Has acted in all sorts of films over the years. Wrote the screenplay to Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael and recently directed, Miss Meadows starring Katie Holmes.
