We know that James Horner was not fond of releasing "The Hand" or "Battle Beyond The Stars" in any form, and specifically did not want the former to be released due to his own preference and rights issues with Warner Bros, but it's very odd to find out that he did not want an expanded version of "The Rocketeer" to be released, given he's had so many of his scores expanded - with is involvement - or first edition releases that had bonus content. Was it just a case of him being happy with the original 1991 album or is this going to remain an unanswered question...he's no longer here to offer any insight and he had to have known how beloved his score for that film was...it's a shame he wasn't fond of the idea of expanding it. |

The Rocketeer is my favorite James Horner score, and I hope Intrada can release it in complete form some day. |

I don't recall anyone from Intrada ever saying that. Where did you hear about this? If true, it is odd when considering some of the other scores of his that have received expansion. Given the unfortunate circumstances, I suppose it doesn't matter at this point. |

Some time in the past year or two, Roger made a comment along the lines of "All in good time" in regards to a complete release of The Rocketeer. I very much doubt he would have done that if Horner was opposed to an expansion (and this was some time before his tragic death). Yavar |
