INTRADA Announces: TOMORROWLAND Composed and Conducted by MICHAEL GIACCHINO Walt Disney Records D002065402 New from Walt Disney Records and available through limited distribution from Intrada and Amazon comes Michael Giacchino's epic score to the summer adventure Tomorrowland. Giacchino pulled out all the stops for this soaring score, just the kind of film music enthusiasts love from the summer movie season. Starting out in an almost mystical fashion for piano and strings, don't be deceived by the quiet opening, for the score soon slams down the gas pedal as the roller coaster musical journey takes off. The brassy main theme propels the adventure forward, taking the viewer along for the ride into the future to help save the planet. The generous soundtrack album includes 73 minutes of music, and of course the track titles include Giacchino's near-trademarked puns: 1. A STORY ABOUT THE FUTURE 2. A PROLOGUE 3. YOU’VE PIQUED MY PIN-TRIST 4. BOAT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! 5. EDGE OF TOMORROWLAND 6. CASEY V ZEITGEIST 7. HOME WHEAT HOME 8. PIN-ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE 9. A TOUCHING TALE 10. WORLD’S WORST SHOP KEEPERS 11. JUST GET IN THE CAR 12. TEXTING WHILE DRIVING 13. FRANK FRANK 14. ALL HOUSE ASSAULT 15. PEOPLE MOVER AND SHAKER 16. WHAT AN EIFFEL! 17. WELCOME BACK, WALKER! 18. SPHERE AND LOATHING 19. AS THE WORLD BURNS 20. THE BATTLE OF BRIDGEWAY 21. THE HAIL ATHENA PASS 22. ELECTRIC DREAMS 23. PINS OF A FEATHER 24. END CREDITS For some glimpses into the recording sessions, check out the 7:17 mark in the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l34Y8zZZavI The film presents two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird's riveting, mystery adventure, starring Academy Award winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as "Tomorrowland." What they must do there changes the world and them forever. What a glorious year for Michael Giacchino fans and traditional orchestral symphonic film music enthousiasts ! Jupiter, Tomorrowland, Inside Out, Jurassic World... Kudos to Intrada for getting this gem in exclusivity. Amaz... what ? Don't know that website... ![]() Is it me or 2015 marks the return of many gorgeous tradionally orchestral hollywood music ? Avengers (thanks to Danny Elfman) sounds more like a classic superhero soundtrack. John Debney unleashes epic pirate music in Spongebob, James Horner does the usual refined orchestral job on Wolf Totem, the usually symphonic Andrew Lockington is chosen over tons of zimmer clones for the blockbuster San Andreas, etc. Are producers tired of saturated lifeless remote control sound ? |

Saw this last night - terrific film, terrific score - it's as close for us old guys (haha) to get back to (for me) golden age 80's style/sci-fi fantasy scoring. Great theme (2015, ha!), and a trip to hear trumpets in a theater again. Not sure about the 60's style referenced in the press release - I didn't pick up on that, thoughts anyone? -Sean |

Brief query because of a thread on FSM discussing this: how come this CD has gone OOP already? Was the demand not there, did the license run out, or what? Ta mucho! ![]() |

Wow, this CD was an Intrada release? I thought it was a WDR release! That's really swell, but sad that it's now out of print! Hope something can come along and it's released again, for years to come! |

Hello, Doug and Roger, and happy new year! The Tomorrowland OST is now Out Of Print - unavailable to purchase here at Intrada.com, nor Screen Archives, Movie Music, Amazon... anywhere I looked. Copies are selling on the third party market for $170!!!!!! https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00V5SU4B6/ Is it possible you guys could do a reissue - perhaps limited to 1,000 copies or something - So people who are just discovering the score, or hadn't picked up the CD version yet - could get it for $20 instead of making a greedy third party rich? That would be so wonderful! -Jason |
