I'm surprised this hasn't had any comment here yet, but the latest Doug's Corner is a wealth of information about exciting upcoming projects, including a number of great Golden Age *premieres* from the 40s and 50s! I for one am really excited! These used to be easy to miss, because they were posted very infrequently and you didn't see them when going to "Soundtrack Discussions" (just the "Board Index"). But now, they're linked to on the main Intrada page in the bottom right corner! Yavar |

Doug's mention of Rocky IV makes me want to play that album for the billionth time. 30 minutes of pure ecstasy. |

Ah, you guys are being kind. It's just a blog. Regina lately has been good about reminding me to touch bases more frequently with our audience. In fact, we're doing a whole lot of stuff in the background right now to maximize our profile with both you listeners and the people with whom we license the music from. We work with every studio now and that's something we're proud of. These studios aren't looking for money so much as they just have certain companies that they want to be associated with. We appear to be one of them. Regina - and actually everyone here - is trying to get me "out there" tooting our horn somewhat. So I have to learn to be a better tooter. Perhaps writing in my corner more than just once every couple of months might be a good start. ![]() --Doug |

It's OK, Doug. If you are busy working on future CD releases or just very humble on what your label has gotten for us soundtrack lovers, don't allow it to bother yourself. There are plenty of people, like myself, who will "sing" praises of the Intrada label. You and Roger have managed to fulfill the wishes of all the age groups among your customers. Best of all, you have not forgotten us seniors.
I agree with Monte. Intrada has issued a great range of soundtrack CDs over the years. I started with Red Dawn! Doug, I'm a senior like Monte. Please try to issue some golden age CDs including Max Steiner at Warner Bros. Also Hans Salter and Frank Skinner at Universal along with the 1940s and 1950s Universal horror and sci-fi scores! ...... Peter ![]() Doug and I would love to do this stuff, and both studios have been very cooperative over the years. The challenge is these two particular studios are extremely swamped with current production stuff all the time and don't have staff to focus on catalog licensing, so it's really about being patient and getting licenses here and there as they can squeeze them in. But they're very supportive.
Thanks for the reply and info Roger. Guess we have to be patient. There's been only two Max Steiner from WB CDs, that's BYU's Battle Cry and A Summer Place and that was ten or more years ago! Even the last BYU from their discs was The Letter maybe 8 years ago! They do have The Searchers coming up next month. Steiner has been neglected in recent years. Please try to so a few Max Steiner at WB if possible. The Hanging Tree would be nice! Thanks! .....
