My local library just started using Link +, a service by which we can search and borrow from the collections of libraries stretching as far as my entire state. It's different from inter-library loan in that I can do the search and request instantly at a catalog terminal, and for free. So far, I've requested Friedhofer's biography and HOLLYWOOD HOLYLAND, 2 books I wouldn't have been able to borrow otherwise. This also means I can search for videos & soundtracks, too, but I'm told some libraries will not let video or audio be lent to other libraries. Still, I am going to try for some obscure stuff, starting with APACHE. |
