Yesterday was one of those rare days where a lot of limited edition Golden Age soundtracks all got announced within 24 hours. A Max Steiner boxset, a Sol Kaplan score from 1952, and of course Intrada's release of Johnny Mandel's 1966 score from Harper (OK, that's arguably Silver Age). Fans of that period cannot complain (and they will still be enjoying their Waxman boxset from Christmas, not to mention Kritzerland's Mandel threefer from last week).
Add to that LLL's surprise release of Alien III, for which their masters turned up in the Fox vaults, and the Superman films getting single releases, and it feels like a Black Friday week, with something for fans of every age.
