Music Box seems to produce some nice products. I'm looking forward to receiving this.

I got the impression that this was being passed over by labels due to poor sound on extant sources, but I've got to be honest and say that the few samples I've heard sound much better than expected. I've heard much, much worse on lots of other released product. Anyway, congrats to Music Box on this highly demanded album of one of Herrmann's most captivating scores. |

2015 is truly the year of OBSESSION, with the full original score coming from Music Box, and then the Tadlow rerecording of the full score a bit later in the year. I'm eagerly anticipating both of these releases. Like others here, I am surprised that none of the "bigger" labels wanted to release this superlative score- especially during the Herrmann centenary a couple of years ago. |

It could be a great Herrmann year altogether. A label was said to have been sitting on a release of the original Marnie recording, which is reportedly in very good quality stereo. I guess we can expect from Kritzerland some more Herrmann reissues of scores featured in the Varese box, which is great for people like me. |

The guy at Kritzerland mentioned that MARNIE might be coming at some point, but didn't specify which label had it or when it might show up. I hope his report is accurate. |

You said that Intrada wasn't. If no one is then I guess he got his information wrong. Edit: I just read the FSM thread where you did later mention that no one is holding off on it. I usually don't keep up with the threads there like I do here. |

I believe it was about six months ago that Bruce Kimmel mentioned at FSM that MARNIE might be forthcoming from some label. However, I've heard nothing since then. I'd hate to think that Bruce was simply pulling our collective leg. |

Meanwhile, Music Box's CD of the complete OBSESSION is stunningly beautiful. What a great year this is, with the Music Box release and the upcoming Tadlow rerecording of the score. |
