There are a couple of scores that immediately spring to mind when I read Doug's descriptions. Elmer Bernstein's Heavy Metal would be a possibility. A great score that never received an official release and therefore it's in high demand but still considered more a fan favourite. Silvestri's Judge Dredd is Cannon Films and was recorded in London. Intrada did expanded releases for scores with a profile similar to this one before (Silverado, Tombstone) and the complete score could easily fill two discs. Only problem is: there was already an okay official release which was only lacking a couple of highlights. Not sure if Intrada considers this score a priority. Still, several people keep asking for an expanded release of this baby. There is also Bill Conti's North & South. A wealth of great music from this one remained unreleased. Only a very tiny re-recording is available and lots of people are asking for more. So many great things could come from the endless offerings of the more contemporary filmmusic. These were just three wild guesses. |
