On the other hand Dreith's The Punisher score was pretty decent and even somewhat Goldsmithian. And I'm a huge promoter of the Golden Age but I still think it's silly to say that nothing today compared. While overall there may be a lower percentage of interesting 90s Goldsmith scores compared with earlier decades, I still consider The Mummy and even First Knight to be some of his very best work. And then there's Lord of the Rings... Yavar |

I read quite a few good things about Dreith's PUNISHER score and that's why I took the chance on GAG. I think if the film had a better score budget, it wouldn't have sounded so cheap. |

I find it very easy to go from The Big Country to Broken Arrow! The trick is putting on Friedhofer instead of Zimmer. 
And Southall, if you were so impressed by The Punisher (I was only mildly impressed), how about a review? I don't think any of the major review sites gave it even a few sentences (which seems unfair since I think Perseverance sent out promotional review copies). I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts -- they might make me appreciate the score more. Yavar |

Yavar[/quote] At this point, GAG has soured me on Dreith, but perhaps his next project will be more inspired and creative. I, of course, have other albums* I must listen to as well, plus I have Carlo Silioto's PUNISHER already, which is quite cool in it's own right.
