When will these two beauties see a full complete release to the same high standards as Intrada's fabulous BTTF (2 CD set)? I dearly love these two scores and long for the day when they are released in their full glory. Steve.... |

Intrada might possibily be able to do PART II, and I hope that they do at some point. PART III though, is owned by Varese Sarabande in perpetuity, and they've been a little slow to exploit old albums of theirs, although them having done DIE HARD 2 and THE ABYSS recently, is certainly a step in the right direction. ![]() |

Varese does seem to be slowly working their way through their mid 80s to mid 00s perpetuity titles slowly but surely. With Abyss done and Predator 2 coming soon, hopefully BTTF3 is on their Silvestri radar next! And yea, I have no idea what the rights situation is for BTTF2, but I'd love a legitimate complete release for that. Luckily the bootleg has perfect sound quality, but a specialty label needs to come to the rescue for a legit release please! |

The Varese BTTF3 album was a complete mess ! Time to correct that mistake... |

I disagree, it's not a mess at all, it's a very solid listening experience! I think Silvestri chose all the right highlights and presented them in a fun (completely non-chronological) order! The album works really well. All that being said, the complete score in chronological order works great too, and I'd love to own that on CD ![]() |

I have never liked that non chronological order ! The final action sequence when Clara reaches the train is right after the Main Title, "Doc Returns" which is the big emotional finale and the big final fanfare that closes the movie is lost in the middle of the album between Clara's sad goodbyes and the final part of the big train sequence... The Train sequence incredible building is once again completely messed up with part I at the end of the album... no, no, no... |

BTTF II does not have a very good score. It's mainly an underscore without nothing standout whatsoever. BTTF III may have a stupid track order on the album, which can be fixed on your computer, but the 45 minutes of score is the majority of the music from the film. There's no real need to re-release these other than the fact that the MCA album of BTTF II was a crappy printing. |

I couldn't agree less about BTTF2 which has a darker sound than the 1st one. Even the main title fanfare has something dark about the loud percussions and the agressive brasses that then contaminate the whole score. The Silvestri of Predator has happened between the two movies and it's clearly usefull for the darker tone of BTTF2. The theme used for George McFly's death (with really tragic harmonies) and the threatening motif for Biff are definitely and strongly responsible for this darker approach. It's all about the orchestral colors, we get more blue, more black when the first was very shiny... |

Has anyone got a Delorean car fitted with a flux capacitor? I could pop into the future, grab a copy of the "Deluxe" Complete Intrada releases of BTTF 2 & 3 and let you all know how good they are ![]() |

I'm sorry Anakin but I had to delete your post. There's a lot we can enjoy doing here but one thing we can't do is display "private" CD artwork to copyrighted projects from studios we work with, even just for entertainment. These folks do pop over here on occasion and can get frustrated when they see images like the otherwise cool-looking CD package you created. I trust you'll understand and won't feel slighted. Thanks. ![]() --Doug |

No bother Doug. This is just my fan artwork, but I completely understand your point. ![]() |
