OK, so I'm going to be "that guy" here... But I feel after spending thousands upon thousands of dollars with you guys (having virtually every single Intrada release - some several times over) that I have the right to question. Why did you guys decide to randomly change your spine design on these last two ISC releases? I fail to see the benefit of the change other than it being change for the sake of change... Obviously, from a film score fanatic AND Intrada collection completionist, I'm not particularly fond of them now looking different on the shelf. Not earth shattering or anything, but I've been looking for a reason to slow purchasing down... And the unilateral elimination of limited editions was almost it. |

I'm a film music fan myself, and I don't see why the spines not matching the others would be important... As long as it features the title of the score, so that I can find it more easily on my shelves... Once the CD is spinning, it's the music that matters ! ![]() |

Like I said, not Earth-shattering... but a disappointment. For me, it's like changing the binding on an encyclopedia set at letter "R". Heck even the last two they changed are completely inconsistent with each other - and don't match themselves. Yes, love the music... but I always buy Intrada titles even if I'm not a fan of that particular score because I collect Intrada. |

This might be really confusing to find a specific title in your collection... no chronological order, no alphabetical order, all the composers randomly mixed together... This would be like putting a Queen album, Demi Lovato and Powder next to each other, just because they were all released by Hollywood Records and that the spines would match... |

Nope. Not for me... The only ones I keep separated are Intrada & Varese... And the only ones by number are Intrada. I can go right to whichever title I'm looking for by memory. I see them more like an issue number -- say that you keep a collection of magazines by number: Each has different content... Besides I rip them all as I get them and listen to them that way. I only store them this way I know, to each his or her own. ![]() |

They still have the number on the spine, so I don't see it as a big deal even for the most obsessive collector. Then again, I'm not one to talk since I never think about this particular kind of stuff. Nice collection, by the way. You don't have every FSM and Kritzerland release as well just for the hell of it? ![]() |

Thanks. I pick and choose Kritzerland and FSM because I feel they are inconsistent in regards to era. Kritz does a lot of really random titles... plays and stuff. I like post late 1960's and on. I think Intrada is solid across the board. I stay current with all Varese and Lalaland (Have pretty much all of 'em) If you like my score collection, you'll appreciate my blu-ray / DVD library. ![]() |

That's one bad ass CD collection but not a sniff of vinyl in there. You wanna see some old school bad ass wait until I get the vinyl displayed. Although there are quite a few fanatics overseas who might make it look miniscule next to their own obsessive heap I have a few LPs of which only a very few copies exist, so chew your damn toes off. ![]() |

There is something blurry in the back of your CD collection, what is the disc you seem to be ashamed of ? ^^ |

Holy...! I am shocked in awe at the size of that collection! :O Question, and I know this is totally unrelated, but are those custom-built shelves, and if so how long did it take to build them? |

Awesome collection! I thought my collection was big but you seriously can't have listened to all of those CD's or watched all of those DVD's? |

I built them all myself -- over a couple weekends, and for a couple hundred bucks max. They work incredible, and hold everything sturdier than anything store bought at 10x the price. And yes, I would say that I've listened to pretty much all of them... but definitely have my favorites. The movies? Massive fan, and that photo was a year old -- I'm closing in on 7000 at the moment, with blu-rays finally over 1/2. I most definitely didn't buy the majority of them -- and am lucky to have the career I do. Thanks, All! |
