he seems to be SEVERLY neglected these days... his KILLING SEASON was one of the best scores last year = no release. His Monkey King is very successful in China and again NO RELEASE. and now this... |

While it's a shame that Killing Season and The Monkey King have not been released, I would not say that the situation is that bad just because the last couple of years haven't been most kind to his discography likely due to marketability. We'll have to wait a little and see what happens with Deliver Us from Evil. And who knows, maybe The Monkey King will get an album when the film is released in the US. |

“Deliver Us From Evil” is directed by Scott Derrickson. Director of “The Exorcism Of Emily Rose” and “Sinister”. Both scores are available on CD. A possibility does exist. Just imagine the 2008 “The Day The Earth Stood Still” composed by Christopher Young. A lost opportunity!

Madison Gate is listed as label in the trailers, but that can be some shitty songs compilation like in the case of Sinister... still no pre-order anywhere either. |

If anything is on the way, then I am very happy. So hopefully it will turn out to be one of his 3 most recent major scores - Deliver us from Evil, The Monkey King or Killing Season. but no rush. I am sure it will be worth little waiting...

Actually I'd say that Deliver Us from Evil seems to be the most likely candidate, since I know of a few other producers who tried to get Killing Season but without any luck as Millennium simply doesn't care enough to at least respond to an e-mail and The Monkey King is opening in a few months in the U.S. and would make sense to have a release closer to the date the movie opens internationally, which is still 1/4 year away. Unless it will take a few more months before it is out and then Monkey King would be also quite possible. Either way... I can't wait... Any estimation when this might be actually out - unless there is still a lot of steps to go through until this can be sent off to the pressing plant? |
