Looks pretty gosh darn complete to me Scorehead, good job!! What was the very first IMAX film? I saw CHRONOS in 1985 in San Diego, and have loved it ever since. It's interesting also how common time-lapse photography has become since then, especially on PBS and Discovery channel-type shows. It's even found it's way into dramatic films more and more frequently in the last ten years. Thanks for the cool list, I love all those large format films. Do you know anything of Douglas Trumbull's SHOWSCAN process, and what, if anything, was ever done with that? I know it was originally designed to be used in his BRAINSTORM of 1983, but then wasn't. (At least as far as I know.) Give me your email address, would you? I want to ask you a private question. THEKONGINATOR |

You're right! Gary Guttman did do "RACE FOR ATLANTIS" I mistook it for another release that Wood had, which I had originally left off the list, "THE DISCOVERS." Yes - most of Wood's scores were with Danial May and utilizing the nostalgia of muisc from the golden sounds of 70's of classic rock. I love the info so far, thanks guys!!! ~ Scorehead |
ROBOTS OF MARS by Fredrick Talgorn
Wow - that's great! I wasn't aware that his score had been released on CD. Do you have a link to where it can be purchased? ~ Scorehead
There is a reason why you wont find it.... Though it's an incredible score, Talgorn's "ROBOTS OF MARS" has never seen a commercial CD release. - Oz |
