The Lion King is a great idea...
But Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia, Pinocchio, Lady and the Tramp and Cinderella were already available in complete form before. If it's just about a beautiful cover and a second CD with demos, that's kinda limited !

Mary Poppins was not complete, but it would have een better if they'd release titles that are more in need of expansion like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Mulan.

Give it some time, folks. Most of these classic animation soundtracks have been unavailable for awhile. Disney is aiming at a pretty wide audience that will include young people just now starting to collect music. These are movies that tend to live on forever and the albums will hopefully find all new fans.

As to the other treasures, we're doing our part to keep everyone in the vaults busy.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is still a big deal IMO. It's arguably Alan Menken's magnum opus. The stage musical upstages (pun intended) it, but the original film score is still haunting and powerful. There were quite a bit of music tracks that didn't make it into the first release, and it pleases me to see them make it here. There were extended portions in the "Paris Burning" and "He Shall Smite The Wicked" cues that were cut the first time. To see them restored again is a treat. There was also that frightening cue which plays in the scene where Quasi tries to hide Phoebus from Frollo. It's great stuff IMO.

Who cares about amazon? The point is to also support Intrada as the best store around.
But since it is taking forever and I still can't find anything to complete my next order. I may have to get everything elsewhere.

At this point, it does appear that Disney is only offering the physical edition through their own online store.
