I was just looking over the page for RAMBO lV on IMDB and saw Jerry Goldsmiths name as composer of the movies themes (natch). Anyone have any ideas on who's scoring this? A quick look at Stallon's credits, and of his 9 directorial films, aside from one score by Vince DiCola, his composer of choice has usually been Bill Conti. Could that be the case here? Regardless, Marco Beltrami's treatmet of Jerry's materials on THE OMAN was quite nice and updated Goldsmith's sound with much attended respect, so he might be a natural choice. Still, I would love to see his son's name, Joel Goldsmith, on the credits scrawl for this as well. Just please, no "Zimmer's R' Us" score!!!

Alan Silvestri is the obvious choice.

Why? Because the man already replaced an unavailable goldsmith twice on Judge Dredd and TMR and both scores have turned out magnificent. Furthermore, he is well-trained in orchestral action music and desperately needs to get more projects. His involvement with Judge Dredd might even make him a possibility if Stallone wants to return to one of his previous collaborators.
